I’m not always as great a role model as I want to be when it comes to routine exercise and self-discipline. Especially because I’ve taught both yoga and dance professionally before, I know I should be doing better. It’s been particularly hard for me lately, and I’m upset with myself for falling short. Fibromyalgia is a convenient scapegoat. But the truth is, there are other factors at play in falling off the wagon: being busy, stress, and good old-fashioned laziness (loathe as I am to admit it).
I suspected I might not be the only one in the fibro community struggling with this, so I threw an idea out to our Instagram followers: what if we were to add some educational videos to guide our followers through some simple yoga and gentle stretching exercises?
The response was overwhelming! It will take a while to set up, since Tyler and I are traveling all throughout August and we need to settle down a bit and relocate to set up our yoga “studio,” but we are excited to dive in fully in September. The extra time will give us the added benefit of utilizing some new audio & video equipment we are picking up in August. We always want to keep improving our video content for Fibro Pulse!
While we take a little break from videos in August, we just wanted to let you know that there’ll still be a blog article every week, so check back often to stay up to date – or better yet, sign up for our weekly email newsletter.
